Hello Dear friends,
We've made it to Guangzhou saftly! The flight was a short one. But us kids were bored nontheless. Lizzy was up all night screaming. Mom hasn't gotten more than a half hour of sleep! There was a docter in one of the other groups who came and checked her out. It turns out that she has an ear infection! Poor little girl. Since then, she hasn't let anyone but Mom hold her. She'll start to yell, if Mom so much as acts like she's going to set her down. Mom can't even get a nap. Please keep them in your prayers!
Tomorrow, and the next day are shopping days. Yeah for me! Everyone always says, "Wait till Guangzhou to shop. It's much cheaper there!" Well they better be right! I've passed up a lot of cool things because I'm listening to everyones advice. And I don't like it one bit!
I also don't like writting in the journal. That's Mom's job. But she's still holding Lizzy, I had to take over so no one back home would worry. Or so says Mom. Us kids are all doing fine. And Dad's great! Well that's all for now. Hopefully Mom can write more later and tell you things that mean something!
In Him

Emily,
Thank you so much for writing for your family. We definitely would have missed hearing from you. Thanks for not making decisions based on your feelings! :) You wrote beautifully. Wow, it looks like you have been in bigger cities than I'll ever be. Amazing. So thankful for the doctor you have in your group. Blustery cold back home. Can't wait till you're all back. Love and prayers, Mrs. Van Winkle
Hey Millers,
Sorry to hear Elizabeth is sick. Garlic oil is great for ear infections and brings around results quickly. If you can find the stuff you can make it yourself. All you need is olive oil and garlic. Mince the garlic up and put in the oil to set for about an hour or two. Then carefully use a spoon to take out the garlic pieces. Do not use your fingers, you are trying to keep it sterile. Warm up the oil slightly. Then put a few drops in each ear and put cotton balls in each ear to hold oil in ear for a while. Do this 2 times a day. I use this for my family, even for myself.
We are praying for you everyday. Celebrating and crying right along with you. Wishing you could scoop up a whole lot more babies to bring home with you.
The boys are out shoveling snow for the neighbors. We didn't get the snow they predicted. Only about 3 of the 3-6 inches they were calling for. Mt. Vernon and Fredericktown still had school today, the rest of the county either shut down or is on a two hour delay. Praying that you will have good weather on your return flight.
The boys want to know about the money system in China. What is the money called and what kind of coins do they have. They also want to know if you can bring them back some rocks from China for their rock collection.
It has been fun sharing your journey with you. We praise God that it has been going well. Praying for a wonderful journey home. Getting super excited to meet your beautiful new daughter.
Love and hugs,
The Penkos
