Never a dull moment at the Miller home!

Ok, Elizabeth is truly making sure that she fits in just fine around here. She and I just walked in from a 2 day stay at the hospital. She has pneumonia. EVidentally, that was what triggered the high fever and seizure from Friday night. The chest x-ray was negative then, but by Monday it was positive for pneumonia. Her little chest was working mightly hard for each breath. WE were admitted to get IV's in her and breathing treatments. Unfortunatly, NO ONE is able to get an iv in her little body. After 2 more attempts by the best IV person in the hospital, we gave up. She was drinking enough liquids that the doctor approved her not having one. She took the medicine without much fight, but refused to let go of me long enough to be in a tent for the breathing treatments. They decided to just work with the nebulizer and mist and a heavy duty shot. All that said, we could have done it all from home, but we had already been admitted and had been there a long time before decisions were changed. The second day, they discovered that the pneumonia was in her bloodstream. They wanted her kept at the hospital one more day. By the afternoon she was smiling and giving the nurses high fives.

Like I said, there is never a dull moment in our home. She is running around now, very happy to be home. THanks for all the prayers and wonderful thoughts. We have such a wonderful group of friends and the best family members in all the world! We are truly blessed.
