The team waiting for their turn to compete.
"The Captain.. in position to give the next answer for his team.
The 2nd place winners! Way to go!Horray for Jacob and his team! They placed 2nd in a very intense competition between all of the elementary schools in our town. There were 7 teams. It was quite the night. All of the kids had worked so hard. There are 115 books on the list. Each team has 6 kids who between the 6 of them, read all of the books. Some books are read by more then one child, others one one of the 6 has read the book. Jacob read 70 of the books himself! From those 115 books, a team is given a small paragraph that is taken from the book. The team is given 10 seconds to come up with the name of the book and who the author is. If they do not know it or give the wrong answer, the team they are competing against during that around has a chance to "steal" the point. It is so fun to watch the kids compete. Jacob had the honor of being the captain of the team. He did an incredible job! We are so honored to be his parents. Great job, little man! Even the Mayor wanted to now who the captain of his team was because he had done such a good job.
